How to Upgrade Your Exercise Program

Admit it! Your exercise program sucks! Too many people who are unable to get in shape fail to (or want to) realize that their exercise program flat-out sucks! Men, do you really expect to build an exceptional physique if you do nothing curls and bench press?

Ladies, do you really expect to get a flat stomach just by lifting 2lb pink dumbbells? Wrong and wrong! If you expect your body to change, you have to challenge it.

Here are 3 tips you need to know in order to upgrade your exercise program:what-muscles-do-push-ups-work

Do exercises that work multiple muscle groups

Pushups, squats, rows, pull-ups, chin-ups, deadlifts, shoulder press, mountain climbers and jumping jacks. What do all of these exercises have in common? They work multiple muscle groups.

When you consistently incorporate these exercises into your workout regimen, you are guaranteed to burn a lot of calories. Of course these exercises are not easy, especially when you use a challenging weight, but that is why they are effective. So start incorporating exercises that hit a multitude of muscle.

Note: Fellas, please work your legs. There is nothing odder than having a well-built upper body combined with chicken legs.

Sadly, it seems most gyms have turned into a nightclub.

Most guys are there working their mouths instead of working their bodies. Be honest…are you one of them? If so, you have no right to make any excuses about your exercise program not getting you results.

When truly working out, you won’t be in the gym any longer than 45 minutes to an hour. Some sessions may go longer or shorter than that, but it generally doesn’t take long to complete a quality workout.

Just with any goal in life, when it comes to going to the gym to enhance your physique, it is “put up or shut up” time.

Keep It Simple

In case you don’t know, please know this: Exercise difficulty does not dictate its effectiveness.

So if you got a personal trainer and he/she has you doing some squats on a Swiss ball, please fire them.

They are putting you at risk to get severely injured. It is never a good idea to engage in exercises that have you looking like a circus act.As mentioned in rule #1, doing basic exercises such as pushups and squats have been proven to help countless people lose weight.

So if you’re doing a movement (i.e., exercise) that doesn’t mimic in everyday life, it is likely a worthless exercise. Just keep it simple.

Those were 3 ways to upgrade your exercise program. Use them and I guarantee you will go from flabby to fit!
